Im pretty happy with what happened. The only thing I DIDNT like are my horrible 60ft times. Im pretty sure with gears, drag radials, and good 60ft times I could maybe get into the 13's. Going to the strip was SO MUCH FUN. My friend brought his '99 Mercuury Mountaneer and decided that he wanted to run it at the last second. It was pretty much a joke but it was funny as hell. When they were checking everyone in, we were telling him not to get too close cause its a beast, then the guy asked if it had its rabies shots. lol

Best run was a 14.590 w/ a 2.301 60ft @ 95.55 MPH

Heres my timeslips.
This was against a Foxbody. It was pretty fast as you can tell. Since it was a test an tune, you wer just getting matched up with whoever was next to you.

This was against my friend in his Mountaneer. lol

This was against wes (Stanger007)

I think this was against the supercharged Vette.

I dont remember what this was against, but it was my best run all day. My 60ft is killing me though.

This was againse Sam (sage2k)This was a VERY close race.

This was sage2k also. he got me on this one.

I cant wait till next time I go, hopefully Ill be able to get some better 60 ft times. Im gonna get gears, then get some drag radials and that should help.

And I though my car was there. They some car there that were so loud my friend didnt cover his ears and he turned around and RAN. When those cars would take off I could feel it in my chest. It was insane. There were also alot of bikes. One guy almost bit it at like 120 MPH. That would have sucked. Some guy in a Z06 C6 had his NO2 puddle in his intake and it grenaded on him. He ran a 25 that run. lol.

practice makes perfect....might want to try launching at a lower rpm that may better your 60'..the drag radials will help alot along with the gears...next week im shooting for high 12's my best run is a 13.6 with the t-5 i had not wanting to hit 3rd...took me 2-3 secs. to get it into 3rd gear on this run and i was using a 90 shot of nitrous...since this run i have installed a tko 500 tranny and upgraded to the 125 shot....i need some drag radials bad....

Well the thing is that launching on my car is pretty hard. Im guessing its becasue of my straight pipes, I will take off, not spin ALOT then once it gets arond 3500 RPM it will start to spin some so I have to let off. but yea, when I get those gears and drag radials, I should be set.

2.3 60' is about average for a stock/slightly modded stang, with just a few minor bolts-ons i was gettin 2.2's-2.3's, stock tires suck! but hey, its prolly whats keeping my t-5 together, spinning instead of breaking.

ya i should have got the drag radials first myself i would already be in the high 12s without the traction your just spinning...lol i have heard the BF Goodrich-Tires G-Force T/A Drag Radial are some of the best by some x-nitto users.

good runs man as you got more runs under your belt you definately got better times, with more practice you will nail better 60 foots

I was kinda disappointed with my runs, I didnt learn how to launch on the nittos till the very end, I still think I can hit 14.2 next time now that I got a better idea how to launch.
Will be a while before i can hit the track again, but by then I will have my tweecer in and can hopefully tune it up a bit

That would be great if they had a spot where you could practise your launches with the sticky **** they spray on the track.

And this is prolly just me but I found that whenj I had some music playing I actually got my better times. I had Fuel by Metallica turned up REALLY loud when I was staging. that and the harder part of One worked. I guess it just helps me concentrate.

nice job man! some gears and drag radials will definately help you out a lot...i got the drag radials, and i dont spin now, but since my trac-loc is shot, i have a bit of trouble coming outta the hole...once i get my 31spline tracloc, 31spline axles, and 3.73's, i think i can hit 13's, and i think you should be able to do the same...

just curious, what rpm were you launching at?

Good stuff man - great times for your first time out. I guarantee you next time you'll be cutting better 60's and getting even better times.

He wasnt really getting on it. He would run MAYBE the 8th then let off. But the lights would show a 12.XXX @4X MPH So thats pretty fast.

EDIT: I like this pic Wes.

What do you guys think I could get if I had a 2.0 60ft?
I have 1.7 RR's, straight pipes (it pulls really hard up high), CAI, MSD blaster coil, and I think thats about it.

You'll need better tires, as for the time Idk, I couldnt get better than a 2.1 close to stock, maybe it was just my driving, but i had a few launches where i was like oh yeah thats the spot, and it was like 2.1, cant really do much spinning so much, finding that sweet spot is hard. I ran prolly 30-40 times near stock and 2.1 was my best. But agian it could be just me.

I know someone on here got a 1.9 with these tires. But I cant see myself doing that for a while. And when i got my better 60ft's I knew it when I took off. I can definately feel it.

I could have easily gotten in 20 runs if I wouldnt have taken a little break between each one to watch a few of the races.
