I've always had better success riding their ass till it was done right. Most people and business' these days don't really give a crap about one guy because there is always another behind them in line with an open checkbook.

I do most of my purchasing locally (community support you know ) But when I do buy online its usually through 5.0 Resto OR pick an add out of 5.0 Magazine. From what I've read (This thread and the original) these guys didnt make any friends on stangnet. Normally, even if I hear a bad thing or two, I like to 'see for myself' before I jump on the bandwagon but even the suggestion that a company would try to bully a customer into changing his opinion makes me bristle. I really hope these guys lost themselfs a lot of business if this is true...but something tells me we will never know for sure

::EDIT:: Just looked at the feedback...check this out

"cussed me out, had to go to better business beau. lets hear your lying response?

...But most of their feedback is good. Seems like when they do have a problem they dont know how to deal with it other than throwing a tissy-name calling fit. Trouble happens sometimes, not everyone is going to be happy, but the fact that they cant be professional about these situations lost my business for them.

They have an Ebay store. I was curious so I took a look through their feedback. It seems like they have a have good feedback. However, when you see the negative responses that were left for others or feedback earned it I can really see why this guy may have had a problem.

It seems like you are dealing with a 12 year old from the negative responses. Rudeness was unreal. I'll post a link, you can pass your own judgement.

They have some great deals on things I want, this makes me question weather I want to do business with them,

I just read that MW's feed back. I am sorry that this guy seems like a jerk. I would not have minded to do biz with him. Cussing and such, doing every thing to belittle the customer. I think I pass!

I thought it was funny that he kept on saying to go get help on installs. Then one guy took parts to a shop and MW made fun of him! Sorry MW bad biz decision.

He even jumped on someone who gave him positive feedback............Yeah, I really want to do business with him. I love all his "MAC products fit like a glove" comments..........HA! I guess he's never tried to install the crap he sells.........

I can't believe this one:

sent quick and works, but I had to break to work, sent two of same side, not L&R - Buyer experient1 ( 33) Oct-14-04 06:43 7926225306

Reply by mustangwarehousecom: U MORON GET A CLUE AND HIRE SOME HELP YA DUMMIE Oct-14-04 11:21

Follow-up by experient1: Doesn't know his product. Sends threatening email for neutral feedback. Reported Oct-21-04 05:35

I don't care how good of a deal they are offering, I could never give a person like this my money.

Just my $0.02 for anyone with future conflicts...

I've had to deal with a LOT of stupid companies thru work and personal purchases. The best thing I can say is this...when something goes wrong, call and let them know you are upset (politely) and give them a chance to make things right (if is a local place, go to manager before calling corporate on their @$$). If they don't make good, get their information and call corporate. Or, if this is an internet or phone order only, ask to speak to their supervisor. If things still aren't looking so hot, contact the BBBOnline.com. Most major companies are members and you can file a complaint. At this point, you can either wait for things to get fixed OR call the company and let them know that you have filed a complaint with the BBB. They normally will make good before BBB contacts them.

I've had so many store managers call to apologize, restaurant owners offer free meals, etc. Hell, Dell gave me a free DVD burner this past summer. Politeness seems to be the key (believe me, I've tried the yelling - and its hard not to yell when someone screws you over).

Oh, and save the company bashing for your close friends, not a public forum. They aren't likely going to be able to sue you, but they sure as hell won't be giving you anything for free. If you feel the need to warn people, make a calm post saying "I had some trouble with a purchase from XYZ. They made it right in the end, but was a hassle."

Anyway, I'm rambling and "lecturing," but hopefully someone will take my advice to heart and will get free meals/products in the future too.

Maybe a little off topic but here is a web site that I use frequently to generate letters to companies. Have had great sucess with it so far. Dont imagine they will have a lot of performance oriented business listed in thier database but use it for large companies. In case anyone is interested. http://www.planetfeedback.com/consumer/

Really nice post by criticman - want to applaud you for that. There's no doubt - fighting/yelling/cursing/threatening - you guys know the drill - they rarely work well; and in the long term, they will make the situation worse, not better. Unfortunately we all forget that from time to time - usually in the heat of the moment.
