Many of the tabs on my headlight electrical connectors are busted off, so I dropped $210 on the Ron Francis FH-084 Headlight / Alternator harness to clean up some of my engine bay's cut up wiring. I verified the wiring against the drawings, and found that the LB and BR wires that were swapped in connector C108. It's supposed to be BR on the upper right and BL to the left. The harness was BL on the upper right and BR to the left. Glad I ohmed it out. So I found Mike's O2 sensor harness de-pinning post. Outstanding! Didn't even take me five minutes to fix the harness issue. Of course, I can't leave well enough alone, so I traced out the white voltage sensing wire that was in the harness. Having just read jrichker's post about this important wire, I was curious just how far up the 8 gauge power wire (yes, super undersized) the voltage sense wire was tapped in. It was a whopping 8 inches from the alternator. WTF. So I will be extending this wire independently from the alternator's charging post so that I'm getting a real battery voltage reading. Kinda slack to get two glaring issues for all of that money spent. Just thought I'd point this info out in case someone else uses this wiring harness. Pics are below.
