I have a 1993 GT Mustang.
Stock computer and ignition,
I believe I read somewhere that there is a rev limiter built into the stock computer or ignition, I'm not quite sure which.
Could someone clarify this for me?
Thanks

Thanks.
Is it a decent rev limiter?
The reason I'm asking is that if I miss a gear drag racing, I would like the motor to be protected.
I was thinking of getting a MSD rev limiter that works with your stock ignition or just buying a MSD ignition with the rev limiter in it.
If the stock limiter is fine , I'll just stick with that.
Thanks

Its a decent rev limiter for what its it, its only cuts fuel though.. so you still get spark.... Unless your spraying the car, or have tons of money tied up in the motor, you could spend your money on better mods. ;-)

I just put a new Ford Racing crate motor in.
I'm not spraying.
I just want to protect my new motor.

I would say that it is worth while installing a msd ignition in to the car anyways.
