I will be putting on my new Bamachip 93 race this coming Monday. This is the first time I have ever done this. I have a quick question for anyone that has experience with this. I worry about the rev limiter because I do not want to go to high and blow the motor. Does the 93 race tune turn the rev limiter off by default or do I have to ask bamachips to do it? If it does come with it turned off; can I turn it back on? Will it let me know if it is off or on?

if its on an xcal, it lets you adjust the rev limit in neutral and drive on the tuner

I am guessing that is an SCT tuner? If so this one is a Predator. Will it come already tuned with the rev limiter off or can I change it like the SCT you are talking about?

I have a diablosport predator, and you can adjust the rev limiter on whatever tune he loads on there. Just go to "Modify Tune" right before you install. It will show "Rev limiter 1, Rev limiter 2, Rev limiter 3"... I have found out that I belive each of these limiters are for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears. (Found this out at the track, when I raised the 1st limiter, I was still bouncing off the limiter when I shouldn't have been, in 2nd.)

I run Dougs tunes and had to raise the limiter to 6500. I kept hitting it at 6200 and the 93 perfomance tune really likes the rpms. I like the torque tune also, but it does not pull as hard at high rpms.

Long live Doug!!!

i shift at 6400 and have my rev set to 6800. I trap in the 1/4 at the end of third gear at like 6600 rpms.

6000-6200,

i haven't really mastered looking at the tach while racing though, just go by sound and feel.

last few times at the track i was getting the hand of looking at the tach, but i haven't been racing since 4/28.
