Rev problem..

Hey guys,

At idle my car usually revs at 800rpm but tonight when I hit a red light it was reving at 1000rpm and would'nt go down to 800rpm. It was like this untill I shut of the car and started it back up. Know it seems to rev normal!. .

What could cause this problem...is this a sign of something about to break?..thanks in advance

That would be an idle issue, not a rev issue.

Your IAC might be sticking.

yeah, take it off and hose it down with carb cleaner, then put it back on and try it

that damn thing, I bought an adjustable gasket from 5.0resto but it didnt work. I will remove it and clean it once again, thanks

that spacer kit is for if you have like a real seriouse heads/cam and you have manifold vaccume issues

I've always just set mine up the standard way and never had any problems
