OK, this is my last little thing I want to get done this year so I can just hop in it next spring and enjoy it. It's getting cold here...highs in the 20's on turkey day. How do I hook up my reverse lights to the T5 switch? Can I use the existing wires from the old switch? Do I really need reverse lights?(yeah, I think I do even though it's a pretty hard to miss color some idiots still don't notice ). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make your existing wires attach to the to studs on the T5 switch and you're good to go. I had to cut my wires and put on female bullet connectors and they slid right over the studs. In case you didn't know, the backup switch is on the drivers side, about in the middle of the case, looking like a big nut with two studs coming out of it.

I always grab the special plug for the switch on the T-5 from a junkyard and splice it into the existing wiring. I prefer the original plug since it is weather sealed once installed and looks much cleaner also.

Sounds easy enough....but which wire goes on which post. Also I am trying to find a dust boot that goes over the clutch fork. I found one at a Ford dealer but they want like $40 for it.

It's just an on off switch, doesn't matter which wire goes where.
