Ok, as stated in other threads, I am throwing a check engine light. I am not sure that it is not my first 2 o2 sensors (the ones that control my rich//leaness) I am wondering what possbile ways there are to make the light go off and get my car out of "open loop mode" or "safe mode". I had the code checked by autozone and it says there is a problem in bank one and bank 2, not sensor specific so they said it is not a problem in my sensors. Please help!

I have Hooker l/t headers
o/r x pipe
mil eliminators on rear o2 sensors.

Thanks
Rick

i have had horrible luck with retards working at autozone trying to pull codes from my car, i would take it (multiple) other places to see what they say. i would think that if its sending a code then you should be able to find out exactly whats the problem is, i could be wrong tho

Unhook your battery for 5 minutes and that will clear the code. Chances are after 2-3 driving cycles the PCM will catch on and activate the MIL again and change the code from pending to actual. I wont go into the technical hoopla of OBD2 but regardless of what the problem if a MIL is thrown there is a numeric code assigned. When attaching an OBD2 reader to the onboard port and pulling this code you will get a number. This number will tell us all sorts of things. Otherwise the information you have provided leads to nothing but speculation and guess work. The Autozone guy didnt know WTF he was talking about.
