Right on, just bought a BBK SSI!

Maybe its just me, but I can yank my valve covers off without removing the intake with my Cobra... Ive done the drivers side numerous times, and not too long ago did the passenger side on my friends car at the track, both without every touching the upper intake, or even the Tbody.

Good luck with the intake, let us know if it makes power!

are you using your EGR spacer. all the pics i've seen of them don't have one, so do they just have provisions for them in the intake or what

The SSI intake has a "built in" EGR spacer. It's just a protusion off the upper intake that eliminates the need for a seperate one. Most people disconnect the stock hoses on their cars anyway and eliminate the coolant flow through it (especially if you have installed a cold air intake). I mean, really, why would you want HOT coolant running through your COLD air intake?

yeah i enjoyed.. ur gonna have to relocate ur map sensor thoe cause the intake sits so close to the fire wall, also i know when i put it all back together my hood would rub the very top of the intake so i had to cut out abit of the ribs in the hood. and yes u can take the valve covers off both sides, but the passenger side one is a little bit of a pain. we had to actually bump the motor abit so that thte back rocker arm was sitting in the right postion otherwise u can't pull it right off
u can see in the pic i just moved it to the right
