the inside of my stock 15s the 10 hole scrapes the inside of the lowe A arm when i crank the wheel all the way over. any idea what may cause this?

i really want to fix up my car and been waiting to do more to my car. but i don't wanna do it when its pointless and something major is messed up. i'm thinkking i'm willing to buy a k member if need be. but i dont' wanna really.

Js5oh could be onto something. jack up the bad side. use jack stands and all the safety stuff. grab the tire at 3 and 9 o'clock and push pull. do the same at 12 and 6. if movement is detected at both, check wheel bearings. if only slop at 3 and 9, think tie rods. if only slop at 12 and 6, think balljoint.

if you have 12 and 6 slop, try to watch the ball joint while pushing and pulling - sometimes you can see the joint/knuckle move.

for the strut bushing, i would leave the suspension loaded and try to wiggle the top of the strut (from the wheel well). it should not move hardly at all. then jack it up and try the same thing.

i think the ball joint is more likely. if it is loose, dont drive the car. there has been more than one thread about it tearing loose completely - your wheel will flop around like a rag doll.

good luck.

Are you sure its the wheel and not the tire? If it is the tire, what size tires are you running?

Mine did to. This is all you need, under $10.00.

Travel Restrictors for the steering rack. The Part # at Ford is N804842-S Washer
