Would kit #2 http://www.gefracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=G&Product_Code=M4210B or kit #1 http://www.gefracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=G&Product_Code=M4210A be good for the amount of miles (31100) on my GT?

My car had 38000 miles on it when I had my gears installed. I bought a bearing installation kit(#2) just for insurance. The mechanic called me and said my bearings looked great and I could reuse them. I told him to go ahead and put the new bearings in. I would buy kit #2 although you probably won't need it. It's up to you to have new bearings installed. Pearl02.

kit 2, it's best to put new parts when installing aftermarket parts

your bearings should be fine, but I agree that replacing would be best. You will still need to get the old bearing off of the pinion to see what the shims are.
