ripped wire and spark plugs dont fit. horrible day

so i ordered some ford racing spark plug wires. i could have sword it said they were for the female socket but it was for the male. so they dont fit =/. is there any way i can get them to fit with out buying a new distributor?(i do want a new one by im not going to get anytime soon)


AND

so i was instaling my new valve covers and then when it was all done i looked and it seemed a ripped a blue wire. wtf?! i dont know how the hell it happened. now i cant see what the temp is. i guess that wire made that tach work.

Not positive about the second one , as the applications don't go back earlier than 77, but you should be able to find this locally and get a better eyeball on it. IIRC this was considered a cheap upgrade for stock distributors when using a hotter coil.



Edit: Shouldn't be a big deal with the wire, crimp an eyelet on the end and throw a nut on the Temp sender post.

both of those caps from summit would work but u can also buy that from any parts store just get them for a 77+ car the points and duraspark dist housing are basically the same

That's what I thought, but wasn't positive as I haven't done it personally, and is also why I mentioned getting them locally. I also thought the pics would help.

Amen to that! That kinda problem wouldn't even raise an eyebrow in my garage. Splice the broken wire, go blow $10 on a new distributer cap and take an aspirin. There problem solved.

You need a cap, a cap adaptor, and a rotor that will work on your distributor.

I think I told the parts guy I needed parts for an '84 Ford F-150 w/ a 302 and they worked.
