one of the most impressive cars i have ever ridden in. and THE most impressive car i have ridden in that is bone stock. the car will literally put you back in the seat. the braking impressed me as much or more as the acceleration did. 6 piston brembos up front and 4 pistons in the rear...this thing stops. like, hurt-your-neck stop. this was a 09 model . these were rated at 480/430. however, a motortrend article claims they are underrated. center display shows an array of digital gauges, pretty neat. seats are a tight fit, even for small guy like myself. exhaust note sounds nice....really nice under boost. there is a noticeable amount of turbo lag but only for about 1-2 seconds, then the power comes in hard. 0-60 times are under 4 seconds. i guess thats what 70k gets you. first car i have seen that 60mph is at 7 o'clock !

sorry for the crappy cell pics.

I'm not a real big fan of them. They drive themselves and require little input from the driver and look like a VW beetle.

They run good in stock form though. I've seen quite a few stock ones run high 11's stock in good weather. Once the transmission goes though on a hard launch, the price to build one that won't break is about 20k.

Completely agree. I'm sure that they are "fun" to drive just because they are so fast, but I'd rather do without all the gadgets and gizmos.

And I was hearing from a friend that Nissan was not warrantying transmission issues if the launch control WAS used. Supposedly, there's been a big ordeal over the transmissions in these cars pooping out really easily. Or at least that's what I've heard, have no idea if it's true or not.

Regardless, impressive car and I'd love to ride in one.

I would love the chance to ride in one of these. I did however ride in a friend's ZR-1 the other day and ZOMG that thing is crazy fast! The acceleration alone while driving down the road is insane....

no question your car has to be fast, obviously. just wondering what condiment the driver of the GTR was putting on his sandwich when the light turned green.

I remember calling a member from this site when I had an encounter with one

Cool cars that perform well but I expected more from all of the hype that I read on the import forums that I am a member on. I know that one just ran 8s from some shop however I am talking about stock/near stock.

yea they are sweet cars especially for what they are meaning for 4 seater. but i expected a much nastier launch from one. i was expecting him to pull a 1.6x as well lol guess it still takes a lil bit to get that 3800lb tank up and running.

3800 + that noticeable turbo lag don't do much for the 60' times :stig:

I really can't stand gauges that have the needle at 0 below 8 o'clock. I still think the R34 is a much better looking car, too. Can't argue with the performance of the new GTR, though! I'd love to ride in one.

I guess i would chalk it up to good driving + A factory clutch with 98k haha

Makes slipping the clutch that much easier

I'd pimp one of those in a second.
