roller rockers help

Do yourself a favor and get the work done. The last thing you want to do is
a) Break a stud with a big lift high rev cam
b) Pull a stud
c) break a stock rocker

Please go out and get a nice 7/16 ARP Stud with Guideplates, some Crane roller rockers and get the machine work done.

I'm also slightly dissapointed with the misinformation being given out here. There's not even a slight chance of that being a pedestal mount rocker. The base of the stud is clearly visible and in no way resembles a pedestal mount rocker system.

Take a look at a before and after of what a pedestal mount looks like. Note the rectangular notch in the boss for the stud. This is where the ''pedestal'' is derived from.

Thanks you!!!! :Teh-Win: Alot of misinfo. What he has is the RAIL type rockers. Yes you will have to machine the bosses to put in screw in studs and i was quoted around $200 for the machine work on my 351w heads, not including the price of hardened pushrods, guideplates, and the screw in studs. I opted to not put that much into them (considering i had $400 alone in valve job and new guides). If i were to go that route it would have been almost cheaper to get a set of AFRs. I'm running a CompCam XE262H with push in studs and have had no problems. It has around 0.500 lift and any more than that and i'd had to go with the screw ins. Save your $$ and get some AFRs. You won't be sorry. Keep an eye out on ebay for a used set. Some of them they sell only have a few dyno runs and then they sell.
