well im from new orleans and my first time at the track i ran 4 times. my first was a 14.3 every thing was pretty good. the second and third i ran in the 15's cause spun really bad in 1st and 2nd . but the 4th i ran a 14.14 so not bad for my first time. and that is a stock 2000 gt.
i was launching at 2000 rpm and with not mych spin as long as i heated the tires up enough and didnt have any water on tires and i had sub amp and spare tire. you'll learn wats best 4 your car
Keep them in. They're probably actually helping by putting some weight over the rear wheels for traction. At this point you are just learning. When you get serious and get the feel then you can, right now don't worry about it. 100#'s equals roughly a tenth in the quarter.
