I went with this exhaust only after giving muffler deletes a shot and for the life of me I can't seem to get used to the popping at elevated RPMS. Is it just me or does these 5.0's trumpet waaaaayyyy more than the previous 4.6? Could it be something else causing this?
I'm guessing you have an off road x-pipe, because the Roush mufflers are certainly loud with an offroad mid pipe... They are a straight through design, so they don't muffle a whole lot. GT500 mufflers are popular for slightly increased sound and flow without drone or trumpeting. I run Magnaflow STREET mufflers on my 5.0 for the same reasons.
