Roushcharger warranty psi limit = 6lbs

A comment over in Talk prompted me to go check this out. Something to be mindful of if Roush's warranty is a factor in your blower choice. They say their unit is good to 15lbs, and even sell a kit to upgrade to 8lbs, but specifically state that the kit will void your engine warranty.

Still, 430hp...

The stock Roushcharger produces 430bhp. I queried with Roush about increasing the boost and they said they could do that but it would void the warranty. That's why I'm buying a 462bhp Vortech with a warranty.

First, I will say that I prefer the FRPP/Whipple(or any twin screw, for that matter) to the Roush. But, if you have a Roush car I can see why you would want to stay with that theme.
I'm a little confused whether the warranty you are referring to is for the supercharger itself or for your Mustang's drivetrain. If your dealership will install a Roushcharger and warrant your car at 6psi, that is a good deal. I would look at the FRPP S/C that is due out in the next few months as a Super Performance Pack and ask if they will offer the same service and warranty on that. If so, that would be my choice. Unless, like I said before, you want to have all your equipment from Roush, which is understandable. My point is that you may have other (IMHO better) options.
Please keep us all informed. I'm sure there are other guys that would love to know where they can get this type of work done under warranty.

Sorry - yes, the warranty is on the engine/tranny, not just the blower. I haven't heard of any other sc providing this - they all usually just warranty their own hardware.

Like most aftermarket pieces, it is dependant on the dealership. If your dealership is willing to warrant a Roush product I would think they would do the same for the Ford blower. I would ask, the worst they will say is "No."

Ok, but that aside, the Roush comes with full warranty on the engine and tranny. This has been mentioned as a reason to go with the Roush (by myself and others). The point of this thread was to educate prospective Roush buyers that the warranty offered has somewhat conservative limitations.

The warranty isn't offered by a dealership, this comes with the Roush SC. I don't know technically who picks up the tab for warranty work done on a Roush blown car, but this isn't about a dealer being "willing to warrant a Roush product", this is a real warranty "extension", if you will. Now, does this mean you can only got to approved dealers for warranty work? No idea. Maybe, maybe not. All I'm saying is that this very real warranty has it's limits. Buyer take note.

Correct, Roush offers the warranty which involves re-imbursement of costs associated with a failed component, for example, up to somewhere around 4 or 5,000 dollars if the engine fails, or 1,500 for driveline. I dont remember the exact numbers but that is a ballpark of what they were. This warranty only applies though as long as you dont increase the boost level above what they provide with the original kit.

Weve installed a couple of these kits here and made just shy of 360 rear wheel fully warmed up in steamy, humid south florida air. They would certainly make more power in the cooler, dryer Michigan weather Roush is at which is Im sure where they came up with their flywheel horsepower ratings.
