I just put a set of patriot ceramic long tubes on my 67 289. The car had factory power steering and I overhauled the whole thing, new control valve, hoses, ram, and pump (they actually sold the control valve at oreilly's for 130 bucks!) Anyway, the issue i have is running the hoses with the long headers, i had to install the steering ram relocator. I cant run them in the factory location, gets too close to the headers, i have the return line run in a good place (fortunately that hose was very long) but the pressure line i have it ran, but its still really close to the #8 primary tube on my headers (about 2 inches) Anyone think this will be adequate spacing for ceramic coated heads? Anyone have a better place to route these bad boys...perhaps run a hard line down the frame rail or something?

I got a set of hoses for a big block 390 car for my 68. They routed them under the engine mount and away from the header/manifold. The pressure line is a 2 piece unit. You can also buy the mounting bracket made for the big block hose routing if you want - I did without and it's fine.
