I am on a budget build, how many people use rubber 1/2 in fuel line all the way from the external pump the the motor? do you have any leaks or problems?

where can you buy the brass fittings to use like this?

Don't use rubber fuel line. It is not SFI approved and you will not pass tech at a drag strip. There is a push-loc fuel line you can use if you don't want braided line. The other option is to use aluminum tubing. Thats what I used and then the push loc stuff in the engine compartment. That way you use AN fittings. The push loc comes in a few colors aswell so you can tie it into your engine color scheme.

this is a efi to carb swap, for my 460.

the AN fittings are nice but too expensive now.

Is there a link to the push lock type? Is it track approved?

I use it and it does work and it has lasted for 5 years now with an additional hose inside the tank acting as the pickup.

As for tech inspection...wasnt it 8 inches max for rubber line?

yes you can only use i thought 8 inch's to a foot. this is the product i would use to connect my fuel tank pick up to my electric pump. You do not need that many AN fittings if you think about it. A double flare tubing kit is a must.

hecks jegs brand is even cheaper: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_753765_-1_10019
And then use this line to go from your fuel reulator to your carb so you have some flex. You won't need much of it and just a few fittings to plumb it.

I bought braided line from tank to pump because of ease of installation. I havent ran the line yet, but will do so this weekend. And unless you have one hell of a motor, i think 3/8 line will be your best bet.

If you intend on running the aluminum line, youll need a flaring tool and a tubing bender to make it work. also, ive been told several times, do not run the fuel line in the transmission tunnel.

I didn't have a tube bender when i ran my aluminum tubing fuel line but i was careful with all my bends to make sure i didn't kink it. As for routing the fuel line I just followed the path of the old efi fuel line that I had taken out.
