i installed a cai. I think i took a performance hit. I think my car is running lean now, how do i check to see if it is and fix it if it is. if i bought a c&l 73mm mass air meter would that need to be fixed too?

Yes, if you have the fenderwell style CAI you should try to rotate the MAS, mine liked it about 25 degrees towards the engine. It does this due to the velocity difference in the radius of the CAI, WOT is not affected as much as part throttle.
could be a ton of things. TPS, MAF, etc. etc... to make sure its not some sensor, just put on the stock intake back on and see if it goes back to normal. BTW, ive always read about people turning their MAF at an angle as well.
Ok, who else out there has their MAF turned at an angle? I never heard of that but it seems to make sense with the tubing bend right before it! So what angles are you running?
