After installing a k&n intake whenever I decelerate between 30-50 mph my cars rpm shake a little. The car gets a little jerky. Is my car running lean? Should I just put the old intake on? If I disconect my battery and reset my computer will that help? Everything is nice and tight no air leaks. Would running premium help? I have no idea. K&N says its not their intake when I emailed them but I think their full of crap. Because it never did this before I installed it and the car only has 40000 miles on it so it shouldn't have problems.

Yeah, unhook the battery for 10 mins and then hook it again. See if there is any difference.

You may need to replace the MAF screen that the K&N setup eliminates.

Did you replace the whole intake or just the filter? You should have left the screen on, it is just a saftey precuation for the MAF - it can get damaged very easily and then you're gonna be buying a new one. Only use electrical parts cleaner (or something of the like) which you can get from Radio Shack for about $5-$8. Never touch the actual sensor.

Clean it, unplug your negative battery cable, let it reset and connect again. Then after about 1,000 miles or so do this again - as its been said the excess oil on the k&N will build up on your MAF.
