RWHP Question???

Does anybody know what kind of power a stock 1998 Mustang GT with 5-speed manual lays down at the wheels? Also for a stock 1996 GT with 5-speed. Im trying to get ideas here guys so thanks a lot.

I saw a bone stock 5 speed 5.0 dyno 187 RWHP, and they are 225 at the flywheel. Now show us your 69 pics !

96, and 98 should be about the same.

I thought that the 96 and 97s had a 6 or 7 HP defecit to the 98s at the wheels. I am not positive, however.

I also remember hearing about that somewhere...

I know what does the 4.6 dyno at the wheels sorry I should have been more specific. Sorry I can't get pics up yet but its candy-apple red. I will be getting pics up in the classic section in a couple weeks when I finally figure out how to work a digital camera.

Im guessing that they are the same then.

The 96-97s are rated at 215, while the 98 is at 225

They usually put around 180-190 to the wheels

then 96 and 97s will dyno 180-185 where as the 98s will dyno 185-190

also very dependant on how cared for they are, considering a 98 is not 6 years old, maintinance is a major factor.

69Rcode... If I were you.. I'd look into the 99+ stangs... 225 to 260 is a big jump
