As the title states I have a Stupid Fu*&^% Question for you guys.

I'm trying to side my new headlight pull rod back into my new switch but it wont go in all the way. I tried my old switch with the same result. It has a springing push jus enough to click it into the parking light position. If you push and hold it in, the lights shut off but as soon as you release it, it pops out again.

Any ideas???

I can't remember but isnt there a release on the switch itself? Try resetting that if so.

You have to rotate the shaft slightly when you get it all the way into the switch. When it's in place, you'll hear a click. This is from the Motor Repair Manual.

What he said.

The pointy tip and groove need to click into a latch in the sliding block inside the switch. Rotating makes it a lot easier.
