i dont have the interest in it. the only interest i have is having a quick street car that i can get my hands dirty working on. to be honest, the only reason it has ever been on the dyno was for tuning purposes.

I'm with you guys about going to the track ...........
That is ... with my current Stang

So much fun to hit 2,3, & 4 without letting off the skinny pedal

So much fun to lift the front wheels a bit

So much fun to ... yada ... yada ... yada

Done all that and more a while back

Now ... all that stuff won't happen with my current Stang as
it was not built for that kind of stuff

So ... For me to even be a LITTLE BIT more effective at the strip
with my 95 ..............

I need sticky tires, stronger axles, stronger clutch, etc, etc, etc

Two different worlds and two different applications ... don't ya see
sooooo ... for the time being
I know the strip potential of my Stang as several others have built
combos similar to mine and have already done the 1320 thing

I've always felt ... considering my past experiences at the strip

My Little 95 would be a bit of a let down
so
That is my main reason for not having a lot of motivation to invest
the money needed to go the the strip.

Hey ... It currently does everything I built it for and more

I can have a lot of fun with it on the street and it is very unlikely
I will break things like I probably would at the strip

Well Rob

That is true ... some have dished out a bit of ribbing in the past about
that issue

Just tell em to cover the breakage and tow cost you might incur
and
You'll meet em at the track

"352hp/360ish " = n/a 347ci

So he has a blower and is putting out 415rwhp. That is ALOT more power than your buddies 347 n/a. If you don't think going from 350-415rwhp is a big difference y'all must be carazy! lol.

Plus, there are a lot of cars out there with an unsafe tune running higher numbers but I always put safety first and never had an issue.

If we used my buddy's car as a guide, i would have thought he'd gain more than 60ish hp by adding 10lbs of boost. Sure, his n/a hp is probably a bit lower because of the lower compression motor, but i still think he should be at around 450hp were he's at now.

With trap speeds between 120-125, your lookin at low 11's-high 10's. FWIW, my dad ran 10. 73@125 in the chevelle on a 60ish degree day.

The average is 6-10rwhp per psi boost right?..

you may be right, but i always thought it was closer to 10 or more per psi...i mean, you can take a stock motor, throw a blower at it with 10 lbs, and with a few supporting bolt ons, easily make 325hp...thats around 100hp over stock, probably closer to 110-120 over stock since the motors tend to deteriorate a bit with time and mileage

I gotcha. I think stock is 9:1 compression. At 9:1 it is probably more like 10 or maybe more like you say. I guess it depends on a lot of factors including the safety of the tune. I am not an expert on boost but I am inclined to think that there are a lot of people driving around on edgy tunes.

edit: My mistake. 6 rwhp is for smaller engines. Should be closer to 10 like you said per psi..all things being equal..Thats what I get for typing out loud again.

I never did before/after dyno's, but I only ran 105mph. On his dyno he SAID I would prob put down about 275-285 or so. On a typical dynojet it prob would have made ~ 320-330rwhp or so.

My intent is to have a fast street car also, but I think its kinda lame to do a crapload of work to the car and never go to the track.

If you build it right it wont break.

And if you're that worried get a AAA membership and have it towed home for free.

Since I didnt do a before dyno, and only have a handful of low 13's @ 105mph, thats my benchmark. If it only runs low 12's @ 115mph, then I'll be bummed and want to get it re-tuned or figure out why its not faster.

I'm not too worried though, since I blew the doors off a C6 (auto i think) yesterday from a 2nd gear roll.
