There is a very good chance that my buddies carbon fiber wide body Mustang might appear as one of the main cars in Fast and the Furious 4, along with possibly his Charger and Beetle. All 3 cars have body kits by American Car Products of Whittier CA and the responsibility of finishing off the body and doing the custom paint fell to SW Customs of Azusa CA. The paint on the Stang is a candy orange and it has incredible airbrushed graphics.

For the entire scoop on the film and the builds (make sure to click the links above each picture to follow the progress) click here: http://www.auto-focus.us/autoblog/?p=118

I like the candy orange paint, but the graphics are too much, unless strictly for car shows...it will fit right in the movie however
I've only seen the original F&F. After seeing the trailer on tv for F&F 2 where a semi flattens a Saleen, that was enough for me not to want to see it

Too bad Fast and Furious is a joke of a car movie.

I've managed to avoid the last Fart and the Furryarse after the lamentable first two and will certainly give this one a wide berth too. Having said that, I am a grumpy old man, being over the age of eleven.

Why do they still continue to make these movies? I personally thought the original wasn't bad, but the second was really awful and the third not as awful.

they keep making it because they keep grossing hundreds of millions of dollars, while there are many movies out there with incredibly high budgets that have questionably weak box office draws these are a sure thing, as long as there are people that think stickers on your ride give you HP and that 24" rims are cool they will keep making money on these movies.

I actually liked the first, the second 2 sucked.

I tell you who liked the first one better than me though......the import tuner industry.

Every 20 year old broken down Honda in my town now has a sticker and fart can muffler thanks to that movie.

they will keep making it aslong as the money keeps coming in, and plus the import racing is still a billion dollar industry.

I actually like the paint job(although would never drive a car with graphics like that), as it reminds of of all the cool vans you use to see in the 70's. I just dont like the wide body kit personally. Although I am sure your buddy is more interested in cashing in on the free publicity and added business his cars being in the movie will bring.

That candy orange is a sweet color alright. I agree F & F 1 was pretty good but the others were lame. The 1st movie featured the baddest Japanese car out there. MK IV TT supras prices are still high in part thanks to the movie. The other reason is the 3.0L 2jz engine can put out amazing power and is dam near bullit proof.

F&F1- not too bad, as it was the first one.
F&2- bad, just an excuse to make more money, and they killed the Saleen.
F&F3- never saw it and proud of it. I heard they put a Nissan motor in a 67 Fastback . Plus they were just cashing in on the drift trend.
F&F4- no offense to your buddy or his car, but MAKE IT STOP.

That was the very reason I had no desire to see them from this point on after seeing the trailer on tv and watching the semi flatten a Stang

It seems the import tuner crowd have a deep hatred of Mustangs.

Am I the only one here who thinks that car looks atrocious? I mean, truly hideous. I am not a fan of overly-gaudy graphics, nor am I a fan of the wide body kit. The car has no symmetry or flow - just look at the door and side-skirt area. Augh!

Not trying to be mean, here.. but I'm surprised that so many viewers are complimenting the car. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

not just any nissan motor. they put in an rb26dett. its a very very capable motor. if you saw the movie you would see why they did that and it would make sense.
