It is, kind of. Saleen built it from a GTO for the Transformers movie coming out this year. That is Bumblebee. They only had 2 completed prototypes so they hired Saleen to build it to look just like the prototypes.

I was reading something about saleen maybe doing a saleen camaro. He said he would like to and GM also said they would like that. If they really do it, the saleen extreme is said to have 600 horse and the normal one is to have over 500. so pretty bad though. But it is still a GM.

I am predicting Saleen will venture away from Ford sometime in '08. Ford and Saleen's relationship is not so good. It was bad about 8 months ago, then got a little better, but has maintained this role due to Shelby America. Saleen will jump to GM and build the Saleen Camero.

I would be emberassed to own any Saleen product if that were the case, you would have to sell it for next to nothing...wanna sell yours?
