I got my bubmoer repainted recently by a friend and he used an additive in the paint to make it more flexible. Not sure what it was though.

Well are you taking it to a shop to have it painted? If So just bring it to them so its less work for you. You have to add promotor to the bumper to insure that paint sticks and theres other lil things that you would have to do. Id suggest just bringing it to someone and let them do it

Go to a local Paint Shop your going to want to buy Promotor
Pretty much what you want to do is sand the bumper all over and your going to spray the promotor on the ground effect the promotor bits in allowing the paint to stick to the urethane. Then you can put a prime over the bumper. then After that its just the normal. Hope this helps some. And Man I wish I could charge that much just to put my bumper into prime lol

All I did was scuff em good with Scotch-Brite pad to clean em up...shoot hi-build primer...guide coat em, then wetsand....see what you have after sanding...reprime and re-do the above if nec...
Once I liked mine...one last hit with scotch-brite in Fine (gray) wipe it down with Sprayway glass cleaner...seal it...base color..clear..clear..done...
My body guy used no additive's or flex agent...He said if its not in the primer it meant jack??? He was a painter at a Ford dealership so I follwed his que..

Mines be 2 years without a crack in site...I used all PPG paint/supplies..
