thats cause there isn't... I couldn't tell you where the BEST quality saleen kit would be, because even GENUINE Saleen quality sucks.. It does look awesome, but expect to pay at least double what you expect for Paint and prep....

I did their entire bodykit on my 2000 gt and it was EXPENSIVE and a joke.. All of the urethane was full of pinholes which required an ungodly expensive sealer to fix. PLUS, if you look at ANY pre-05 saleen, look how wavy the bumpers, c-pillars, etc are... (pictures don't show it, you have to see in person)

depending on where you are, i think its mostly going to come down to how much it will cost to ship the set rather than the set price.

saleen body kit

I'd buy Original saleen if I were you. Yeah they need a lot of prep work, but when prep is done right, it will fit very nice. The reason why they are sometimes warped is because its like you have to put them out in the sun to soften up and set them up where they are even and they aren't being pulled or sagging anywhere. Then I'd prep it as is, so that it would hold that position. Once that urethane primer goes on, it stiffens the urethane it it will pretty much stay where you set it. if you prep it when its all ****-eyed, then that is what you get for the finish. As far as the 281 wings, maybe they have bum batches. Ive had Original 281 and 351 wings and they fit flawlessly. I think the 4 bolt saleen wings (earlier style) were made better. Its almost like you have to go to saleen to pick good parts. When they are in the warehouse so long and shipped they sometime settle awkwardly and that is where you get the waves....but again Saleen parts are still going to be better than plastic parts. They are durable. You get into a fender-bender, that saleen front and rear bumper is going to hold up and you will only need re-paint. Good Prep Good prep Good prep is how you get it right.

I couldn't agree more.. Don't get me wrong, if I wanted saleen looking parts on my car again, I still would by only GENUINE Saleen.. BUT, be prepared for the prepwork..

As far as the parts being warped, Brand new (well, even back in 04) Saleen cars still have wavy bumpers, c-pillars, etc. Thats what I was getting at..

05 and newer quality is top notch but manufactured by different methods..

I'll second Haney Motor Sport. The Saleen kit is the best looking kit for these cars, hands down, in my opinion.

You should expect full prep and paint for any body kit piece you put on your car.
