Will a supercharger from an 02 saleen fit on my 98 gt? I am also doing the hadswap and lower intake PI swap. Any help would be great.

My 99 Saleen SC intake is aluminum and says Saleen on it. I can't tell you anymore than that. Isn't yours plastic? You may need a matching Saleen intake but I'm not sure.

If you are using PI heads the Saleen supercharger will fit. The only things to worry about is the fact that with a PI headswap, you are upping the compression to about 10.25:1, and boost and high compression don't mix well. You won't need the lower PI intake if you are buying the supercharger.Another thing is the fact that these fuel lines on the 02 were returnless, and I don't know if that will pose a problem or not for the crossover.

Im not sure about the fuel issue but I know your gonna have to have the pistons dished or since your scing it you might wanna get forged pistons while your at it. On second though a forged or iron crank would be a good addition too. That should allow you to safely run more boost.

You'll need to go with at least 18cc dished pistons when you swap them out. That'll keep your CR at around 9.2:1. The compression with the stock pistons and PI heads is actually closer to 10.4:1, so even with low boost, you're going to run into problems.98stangv8 said:

It would be most cost effective to go with just rods and pistons. Even with the beefed bottom end and 8-9psi, don't expect to see more than about 320-340rwhp out of a Saleen (Series II i'm assuming) blower. They make a fair bit of heat with the Eaton M-90 when you really start spinning them and their intercooler and runner design isn't the greatest. It's a nice street kit though and low 13's on street tires should be the norm.
