satisfied or not...

who all here is satisfied with there gt.. or do you wish you would have saved up for a cobra (not 03 +)
personally at times i'm satisfied with my car and it runs great..but there are times when i would like a cobra...even a stock one, just because of what it is
just wanted to know the thoughts of all you gt guys...even the cobra guys

If I could do it all over again, I'd wait 6 months and get an 03 Cobra. But I didn't so I worked with what I have, and no regrets here. However, I'm never satisfied; I'll always want more. I once thought 300hp would be enough. I topped that and wanted 400. Done that, and I now want 700+.

There are lots of 03/04 Cobras in my area so my GT is actually kind of unique. It'd be cool if I end up with the most powerful and fastest modular Mustang in town. Add the fact it's an SOHC 2V, which many ppl look down on, motivates me even more.

Im never satisfied. I have an 03 Mach, & sometimes I still wish i had just bought an 03-04 cobra. Theres something about having those snake emblems on the fenders, & the sound of that blower. Nothin beats the shaker hood & retro interior of the Mach though, & dont get me wrong I love my car. I think once I can get a KB or Procharger I will be happy. No disrespect to the 2v owners, but after having a 4v, i couldnt do a 2v. Unless It was like 02laserred2v's though.

I dont look down upon 2v's, but I just got used to how the 4v revs higher after having a 97 cobra & now the Mach. I do realize that a 2v can be made to be just as fast as a 4v. Im just hooked on reving up to 6800.

My satisfaction with my car is in direct relation to my right foot and my desire to accelerate. Meaning, for the past few years, I have little to no urge to drive fast or have spirited runs. Hence, I was satisfied with my cars performance. Now that I caught the itch again, I'm dissatisfied. Installing mods to change the cars performance is merely a quick fix to make that urge go away if the mod gave satisfactory performance improvements. If it didn't, it usually amplifies the craving. I find myself obsessively looking up parts that I would love to install, trying to single out that one mod that will hopefully hold me over til the next craving comes along.

If I also happen to run into a quick car on the road and decide to get into a little bit of sprinting, not exactly full out street racing, that also begins the cycle of questioning my cars performance. Thus leading into my viscous cycle :)

Point being, you are never really satisfied, regardless of the choices you've made about your car purchase/modifications. There will always be something else out there to peak your interest.

Ha! im the same way! but spending $1600 on tranny rebuild and converter should tie me over for awhile i hope:D

A built and cammed 2V can rev up to 7K. But I'm with you, I can never go back to a stock NA 2V. Boost has really spoiled me.

Im satisfied with mine. The only reason being i drove slow A$$ vehicles in the past (92 prelude,92 civic hatch both stock) so my GT really makes me happy, but i kinda wish i would have spent a lil more and gotten a 99-01 cobra or a mach 1.

I like my car, and it's fun to drive, but I do wish it was quicker in stock form. It just eats me up that if I come across an LS1 that I'm going to lose. But I have the other two cars for the speed fix. I mainly bought the 04 for a nice driver, and it serves the purpose very well.

The other day I found a 04 Mach 1 in Auto Trader for about 500$ less than what I paid for my GT.:nonono: I felt stupid when I saw that.:bang:
