I went out to PIR tonight (4/26/08).... it was a good night for the drags.... temps were in the 60's with about 50% humidity.

First run of the night, with a nice, long squeal off the line, I edged out my previous best (13.38 @ 102.8 mph).

R/T .042
60' 2.098
1/8 8.582
MPH 83.27
1/4 13.314
MPH 104.27

Second run, I adjusted my shifts and lowered my rear tire pressure to 24 psi. Lo and behold, she had a little more in 'er!

R/T .053
60' 2.075
1/8 8.491
MPH 83.72
1/4 13.197
MPH 104.76

Soon after that, someone dropped a nice pool of coolant on the left lane and I decided to call it quits. Talked to a lot of great Mustang folks out there... some nice S197 GT's running low to mid 14's. And a gray supercharged Mustang hitting 12.2.... I think it was a Roush. Also there was a nice, red Mach 1 and a few fox bodies. I just love nights when Mustangs are out in force.

That's right... it was a Cobra... my error. He hit 11's?... Great for him!! Sounds like he was improving on every run.

Saw one run between the Mach 1 and vette.... that was fun!

I'm really happy with a 13.1 on street tires.... with drag radials, I'm sure I could dip into the 12's.

Hey... have you guys tried Redline's Water Wetter? I plopped a bottle into my after-cooler and another bottle in my radiator just before coming down to the track. My trap speed used to be a consistent 102 mph. Last night I was up to 104 mph.

The Water Wetter also kept my after-cooler very cool to the touch. It's usually still pretty warm 30 minutes after a run. Last night, it was cool 5-10 minutes afterwards.

Anyways... best $15 mod I've ever spent!

I was there filming just about all the runs. I might have one of your runs plus the red Mach 1 stuffing it to the silver vette. Awww poor chevy. I also have the mr2 or whatever it was blowing up it's tranny and dumping fluid like a scared dog. Perfect weather. Good times. Glad to see Rod's bro bring out the mighty Cobra. He got a taste... he'll be back.

Back home in Florida we used to run the water wetter on the weekends when we went out to play. Worked very well down there when the weather at night in the summer is 85-90 with 100% humidity. We became inventors of how to keep to engines cooler on hot summer nights. Actually had a friend of mine build an ice holder box that went on the side of his intake with a filter so that melted water would go through. Seemed to work pretty well.

I'd love to see any runs from that night... I didn't get to watch a lot of cars go. If you get a chance, will you post them in the forum?

I was talking to a couple fellows from Texas and Arizona that night about Water Wetter.... they were saying a lot of folks use it in their daily driver since it's so often 100+ degrees.

The ice holder sounds like an interesting idea.

That sounds about right. Most of us do...well did shall I say. I am still getting used to the temp difference up here. If someone has a welder, the box can be built with minor piping and brackets and a small filter. Powder coating looks really nice on it also.

Thanks ben, I had a great time. Super nervous though first time out with my girl. Burn outs with traction control are hard. Oops. Check list ritual quickly developed. Will be back soon. Quick shot out to the ridgefield police who own the streets!

I have two of your races filmed. I will work on getting them up tomorrow. Go Cobra!!! Yeah, looks like they own industrial parks too. What a crock.
