OK When Im cruising along in 3rd to 5th gear with foot off gas, my car will all of a sudden increase throttle rapidly like I put the gas pedal to the floor. Sometimes if you push the clutch in it stops and sometimes it will just redline itself, so you gotta quickly pop it in neutral. When it revs up it dont seem to want to stop. It has pulled all by itself up tp about 80 mph when I let it go. There is a fuse for the cigarette lighter that I can pull out and it will stop. I dont have a manual so Im not sure if this is a cruise control fuse also. My car has a grant steering wheel so I dont have cruise control. Im wondering if my car has cruise and where it might be located so I could maybe tear it out.

im pretty sure that the fuse for the lighter, cruise control and horn are all the same...considering all of mine stopped working at the same time....and i keep forgetting to pick up some fuses.

Go under your hood and disconnect the extra cable hooked to the extra ball on your throttle cable before going anywhere else. The cruise is located under the driver side fender. Fuses #1 & 6 control the cruise, but they also power other items. Do not remove them! When you pull fuse# 16 (horn & lighter), you are removing the electrical short created by your steering wheel that causes the cruise to engage and accelerate. To finish the "repair", disconnect the connector from the servo.

I disconnected the cruise cable from the throttle body. The other end runs into the driver side fender. I pulled off the panel inside the car but there is so many wires in there from the stinkin alarm system I cant tell what is what. So Where is the servo?

top of the inside of the driverside fender. follow the cable from the throttle linkage. It'll take you right to it. You'll probably need to undo the plastic inner fender to get at it. As far as the alarm wires are concerned, you'll just have to go through them. The servo is a round shape with vacuum lines and the main connector attached to the top of it.
