workin at a shop is a great thing sometimes. We had a AWD ford areostar van come in yestarday on a tow truck. The RR tire was flat. We brought it in today to find the coil spring broke and found it's way into the tire. The guy was sick of spending money on this thing so he decided to scrap it. We are good friends with the scrap yard owner and he said we can donate the van to the fire department for practice than he will crush it when it's done. I get to take the rear driveshaft and one of the axles ( the one for a 5 lug swap) for nothing lol. I will put new U joints in and install my yolks to make it fit. Just kinda excited and thought I'd share that....I also know the scrap yard owner has a few more of theese vans and might grab the D/S out of them before they get crushed aswell.

Aluminum driveshaft: (courtesy of shawn13) It needs to be from a 92-93-94 Aerostar AWD and you will need the u-joint, part #353 from NAPA. It should bolt right up after the u-joint swap.

Once you get it all bolted up, list the parts you used. That will help all the rest of us. I'll use your name instead of shawn13 as the orginator of the Aerostar driveshaft swap.

the front yoke works but the rear has the wrong bolt pattern for the mustang flange. I red somewhere ford installed the alum shafts to solve a vibration problem on a recall then made them standard equip on future models.
