Well im stickin with my dynomax and instead im going to buy a pair of these, now i can be as loud as ls1's

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300041817256

My buddy has a t/a and he was telling me on most of the catbacks they make for them, they have this plate that allows you to run straight through on one pipe and through the muffler on the other, and thats a big reason why you see so many extremely loud ls1's runnin around, so im gonna even the game a little with these bad boys

Does anyone know what those steel cables are for, most cutouts just have a wing nut and a plate but these look fancy

the steel cables or so you can run open up the cutout with out having to get out of the car and undo the a plate. All you do is pull the cable The ones you have picyured there are several problems with one i think they only make those in 2in so they would be a restriction in the exhaust when there closed and two there made of cast iron so there heavy and you would have to clamp them in you couldnt weld them. Just google exhaust cut out there are much better stainless ones out there that are electric and come in all sizes

You could get some Warlock mufflers (I think thats the name). They have a plate you screw/unscrew and it opens the exhaust right up, or you leave the plate on and have a normal muffler.

i ran my car with just an x pipe twice while i was doing the t56 swap and it sounded like @$$. much like a tractor chugging along. i would agree not to get the flowmasters b/c they are done to death on our cars but exhaust cut outs would just make your car sound like you have a major POS!

With my o/r h it just sounds like a f-150 with straight pipes. Now, if you have just 1 side open it sounds pretty freaking sweet.

F-bodies with cut-outs are ridiculously loud. My buddy started his LT1 with open LT headers and I heard his car from 1/2 mile away Now he has electric cutouts so he can be obnoxious whenever he wants

thats the plan, i think it would sound good with one side open and the other through the muffler like a lot of ls1's have, i agree though both sides open would sound like *******

BTW i thought about the warlocks but im not sure i like how they sound when they are running through the muffler, ive only heard one sound clip of them and that was on mustangexhaust, anyone have other clips?

correct me if i am wrong, but most camaros and T/A only run one tail pipe that splits at the rear after the muffler. stangs are dual exhaust, so the f body can oper up their single pipe but if youy only open one side on a stang it may mess with the engine somehow.
