I have an 06 mustang v6 with a pypes axleback exhaust and a fipk cold air intake. I am planning to buy 4.10 gears and sct combo. What do you guys think of this combo. Is it worth the price? Does anyone live in the southern california area near santa clarita or maybe the valley area who can recommend a good mechanic who can install it? I got a quote from a local body shop who wants to charge me 300 if I can get all the parts and oils and stuff. Is this a decent price? I was a little hesistant because I dont really know how much experience he's had with gears and I dont wanna any mistakes done to my car. I am saving up right now and i am really excited.
I also wanted to ask you guys about gas mileage on the sct tuners. I read on some posts that getting a 91 octane (live in Cali) tune would gain more gas mileage. Is this true? So that means the extra 20 cents a gallon i would be paying would just pay for itself with the extra miles? If so, then i am really stoked!
