Looking for someone that has had experience re-seating the door glass and wing window glass. I removed the glass from the channels to have them replated (chrome on the wing and CAD on the door glass channel).

All illustrations I have seen for this seal material make me think it was a standard item on Fords shop floor since it is identified as * instead of a unique part number like the other seals.

I need to find the right material thickness (1/32, 1/16, 3/32 ?) and in a wide enough roll to be able to provide a seal behind the "ear" on the bottom edge of the vent window frame (where the latch handle attaches). Is this the same material for the stainless channel that wraps the top and back edge of the door glass too?

Any tips on materials, sources and lessons learned would be appreciated.

I believe you are talking about "bulk glass tape". I used it to redo all the door, vent, and quarter glass in my car. I had the hardest time finding it. I tiied all the mustangs shops, glass shops, paint & body supply shops, etc.. I finally found it at a Vintage Ford Truck shop here in So. Cal. If you can't find it locally PM me and I can buy it and ship it to you (I have done this for a few others who could not find it).
