Sears Diehard Platinum Battery

Anyone running the Sears Diehard Platinum Battery in their foxbody Mustang?

If so, what "group size" are you running and what are your impressions of the battery? Does it fit in the stock battery tray?

The battery specs are very impressive: 880 Cold Cranking with 135 minutes of reserve.

My only concern is the battery weight 50lbs.... vs 30ish lbs. for standard size battery.

My car sits in storage for long periods of time, so I like the deep cycle characteristics of the Diehard Platinum battery.

I run the die hard gold. My car sits in storage pretty much all the time on a battery tender and the battery has done well for 2 years so far.

Mike - Any idea what "group size" your running on the Diehard Gold? Sears doesn't list a Diehard Gold Battery size for the Mustang online.

I'd have to go look at the car and get a number...prob won't get a chance to do that til the weekend. I store the car away from where I live

If you are looking for something smaller and lighter with more cranking then you might consider an Odyssey, I used the 1200 series in mine, awesome battery.
