seat belts not retracting...fixable?

my front seatbelts arent retracting you kind of have to feed the belt back into it, is there any way i can pull them out and fix them? or do i just have to buy new ones?

Mine and my friend's car stang does the same thing, but they go up a decent amout once you open the door, does your do that? There's some kinda retractor controlled by a black plastic door switch if you look near the inside of the outer door frame somewhere I think that's it. Our belts tend to loosen up on their own tho, that sucks I gotta keep yanking it out to make it retight.

Time for new belts it sounds like. I got a set of SN95's, I need to fab in. I am tired of mine not retracting.

btw, my dads 00 GT is having the same problems. 130k miles. so SN belts arent necessarily the ****zypoo!

what color are they i have some that work perfect but they arent going back in my car... lol are harnesses street legal???
