Seat problem

Ok so I have a 1998 GT with cloth seats. I bought leather seats out of a 2000 S281 look great but don't hook up directly. But thats not my problem. My problem is that I took my power seat out then decided to not put the leather seats in because I need $ for a new trans. Ok so when I hooked up the original driver seat it doesn't power up at all. So i ran the car for a while thinking it needed to charge or something IDK Any help is appriciated. thanks

Might sound dumb, but did you check all the wires to make sure nothing was pulled out during removal of the seats? Might want to also check that none of the wires are being pinched by the seat.
