Seat Swap front and back

i have the seats from a 98 front and back and wanna replace the old seats in my 90 coupe, will the front ones fit? and will the back one fit at all even with mods?

i've seen a couple of foxes with newer mustang seats in front, never seen them in back tho, only way to know for sure is to try it out.

The fronts will bolt right in. The rears won't. Totally different. That isn't to say you can't make it work with enough mickeymouse genius... but I've never seen it done.

Yes they will fit, but it does take some work, not a simple bolt in. I have 2002 rear seats in my hatch, and I've seen some pics of the newer seats in a couple of coupes. You mount the rectangular bracket that holds the seats in place to the back of the car, and the seats latch right up to it. You do have some open space on the sides, though. I'll try to find the thread with it.

And with halo headrests too! I think that's the coolest back seat I've ever seen

LOL! Thanks. Yes, the guy I saw that did it in his coupe was able to fold them down and he removed the cross braces to the trunk, so he could load longer objects. Although that may "compromise the structural integrity", it sure is unique. It was pretty recently on here or Corral.... but I can't seem to find the pics.
