Here's the deal. I want a nice flat black look to my entire interior. This means a change to the existing interior that i bought it with which i neded to replace anyway cause it is in bad shape. Now, knowing what I want, I know that living in SoCal and it being a convertible, black will get freakin hot. SO! my question to you all is this, is there a material that i could use to cover my seats with that will have a flat black look like cloth but not get so damn hot when the sun beats on them all day. If not then I will probably want to reconsider my color scheme.

I don't know about cloth or leather materials, but the color black absorbs more light and will be hotter than other colors no matter what. I say go black, and just get a windshield visor and keep the upholstery protected!
