i have 88 lx ,found 89 escort with nice seats can i use them if i change the tracks,thanks

You're gonna want to use the brackets from your original seats so they'll fit on your tracks, it's a lot easier that way. I'd check before I did anything to make sure the ride height will be ok, if it's too low it's easy to add a spacer but if it's too high you're kinda screwed unless you fabricate some custom brackets/tracks.
