Hey all, I bought a Kenny Brown strut brace today from Brad's over on Lake City Way. I didn't want to pay to have them install it. Can anyone help me install it next week that has the tools to do it. I'm off Tuesday to Thursday next week.

Tony

P.S. Tools needed are a drill, bits, and a socket set, and a set of tin shears.

Thanks

for a front tower brace? That wouldn't make sense. GT's come with a strut brace stock... at least for my year. I don't think you're gonna need to drill anything, it should bolt right up where the stock one did.

What are the tin shears for? That sounds scary.

If it's just tools you are lacking, I might suggest heading to Harbor Freight. I don't know if there are any around you, but there is one here in Everett. The quality of tools is not the best in the world, but I bet you could get a drill, drill bit set, ratchet and socket set for around $20-30 and be able to use them again any time you want/need to.

If you really end up in a bind while doing it, I'm sure we can help you.

I looked through the directions, the snips are to cut away some plastic from the fire wall to access metal underneath. I do have to drill holes for the mounting screws it is not a direct bolt-in.

I got it installed today. Took about 2 hours, and a noticeable difference in the amount of flex my car has on the turns.
