If considering a $$ ride like a T-machine or S197, both of which cost a ton to buy, register, insure, etc, I'd consider getting another DD. It could be a stang that he keeps stockish, or a turdbucket - it doesnt matter.

Then he wont be breaking the mantra of not hosing with his DD. I bet if the stang was an extra set of wheels, he'd like wrenching on it more and wouldnt mind downtime.

Um... I think your car with the trick flow heads should be running 11's if you hook up considering KC ran 12.03 on NA and yo uare on nitrous... I don't think the Cobra will be doing that man.

edit, I am at 300rwhp - add nitrous 125 shot we will see this week...around 400rwhp. ..or put a supercharger on your car. You can't compare an NA buildup to a sprch'd cobra..

double edit - Mine is also a 3rd car.

Yes mostly is realiabilty. **** if i could keep this stang i would and buy the 05. And this car is just gonna keep breaking. I know the tranny is going south, i need new suspension parts, there all stock with 150k+ miles. I know all that would not come close to what the price is on the 05, and hissin your right. But if i wanna stay with my parents i can only have one car. Thats one of their rules. As with a couple more. So were would i be with a CAI, Exhaust, 150 shot, and a tune with the 05?

See if you can keep the stang in a storage building somewhere. And get a Honda or something as a DD

Just get a decent DD. Dont throw yourself into 15K+ (just estimating) debt. While you are young is the time to save as much money as possible..

700 is alot to insure the cobra? FUUCK thats cheap. My old 03 was 5k for a year No typo there. Thats when i was dumb, before i saw that us young people need to save save save! So take my advice

Id keep it. I downgraded myself for money reasons... I hated the thought of having a 26k car that is only coming down in value.. Mine was mostly paid off too. But i like the thought of having alot of money in the bank versus an expensive car.

If i was in your shoes id pick up a decent DD, for me it would be a pickup or jeep grand cherokee or some other sport utility that i could find for not alot of money. Then fix up your stang when you have time. It makes a world of difference when you arent in a rush to get something done.

try 4200 every 6 MONTHS.....

They justified it with these reasons:
-Penis
-19 at the time
-No tickets
-1 No fault accident
-Single
-390 hp
-DC area
-they are homos

The first opportunity I ever had to have a second vehicle, I got a bike. It didnt take up any room and was a nice set of wheels for when the car was down. It was all I could afford however.

BUT........... Guero, you are one crazy SOB and I would worry about you on a bike.

How about parts-store scooter? The pink ones are kinda hot.

Its going to be hard to match the capability and price/performance of the 03 04 cobra

How about fixing your car up and supercharge+ transmission and throw the rest in the bank.

Seriously spending that money on a car maybe the first thing on your mind (im the same way) but 17k is alot and you may need that money down the road

Guero is a tinkerer - what would he do with a car that ran good?

Me-thinks he just needs a day or 5 off from having to work on it. We all get like that, and then we go find things to work on because we need to fart around with the car.
