Since my a/c does not work and i do not care to repair it, i was thinking about bypassing the compressor with a smaller belt.

What issues would i have?

I dont think you would run into any promblems to just bypass your AC.

But to make it look pretty you can buy a AC delete. I think there 50 bucks.

Or find a Mustang that did not come with AC and take off the power steering unit braket.

I think the main problem would be getting the belt to clear the water pulley. The belt would then run between the P/S and Alt with the idler pulley pushing the belt down into the water pump. Should be easy enough to check visually. The P/S pump relocation kits are only about $60-$70 if I remember right.

I would just get the relocation kit, much easier and it'll make the engine bay look cleaner.
