Ok, please I am in need of help. I dont know anything about a mustangs wiring, and I dont know how to bypass that dam restricter wire. I am trying to install a pertronix flame thrower coil and this wire is giving me headaches. Ok do i need to remove the top of the steering wheel to get to the wire or is under the dash? do i remove the wire and replace it with a 12V wire or splice it(what does splicing mean and how do u do it). I am a f***en noob to wiring systems but I am a wiz when it comes to engine stuff. I would really appreciate any help.

First off how about just putting someting related to your question in the title and second, just run a new wire from the pink wire off of your ignition switch out to the coil. (you can find this plug by taking off the round cover on your steering column) You could split the harness and dig out the old wire if you wanted to, but I'd just cut it after the ignition switch plug and feed the new one through the firewall, as someday you may need that resistance wire again.
