I am sure this has been asked but i can't find the answer.

Is there any place that you can get the factory cable or something to replace it? Just the simple cable that goes from the center console to the back of the head unit.
The 05 doesnt have it but does have the Aux button and I know the head unit in it is newer than 05. The dealer replaced it cause I found the old one still in the trunk.

I don't need or want any of the fancy converters cause if I am going to do that I might as well replace the HU.

well you can not just 'add' an aux cord. there is power ground and left and right auido in an aux cord. your gonna have to add a "facny" converter if you want to have a aux feature. or a new hu. the I-Simple converter works real well and even has an i pod cord that charges the unit. sounds great too.

Your Ford dealer would have all this. And if the dealer replaced the head unit, he should know what was put in, why and what you would need.
Just ask. What have you got to lose?
