hey guys, question. when im taking off in 1st as im letting out the clutch the whole car starts shaking really bad. the only way to keep it from happening is to either LAUNCH! or feather the clutch, get the car rolling, feather/roll once the car gets goin about 5mph i can let it out all the way. if i start off in second gear it does not do it. this has just started happening today and im wondering what it could be. i just installed 3.55's last week i have a pretty much stock 5.0 with a 5speed. was wondering if it would be the clutch, trans, or rear end. if the car is rolling, it doesnt do it at all. i also have a busted transmission mount (came that way with the car gonna fix it when i fix the rear main seal)

no idea on clutch

all i know with the clutch is its fairly hard to push so im kinda thinkin it is a more race inspired clutch. sometimes the vibration is so bad i think im gonna break something, and i can hear that broken trans mount hitting down.

That sounds like clutch chatter, my car also does that, I'm going with a custom built clutch for my car (my company does trade outs with a company that makes clutches) The clutch that is in the car just sucks. Also check your quadrant and make sure its not broken or bending if it is you will have a different release point each time making it harder to get a feel for your clutch and thus creating clutch drag. Is it hard to get into gear sometimes, mainly first from a dead stop? If so check it for proper cable tension and drag. Hope this helps a little.

when you drive the car, do you kinda tend to have the foot just touching the clutch in case you need it?? if so, you are makin the clutch touch just a tiny tiny bit and could be putting a glaze over the flywheel. if you tend to do that, drop the clutch once or twice from a higher rpm to knock all that glaze loose. happened to me cause i keep my foot on/right next to the clutch and find myself just barely touching it sometimes. worked like a charm for me but thats just a guess for yours

That shaking on take off, if what you are describing is like a vibration in the driveline that shakes a whole car until the clutch is released is a warped flywheel. Does it only vibrate while you are slipping the clutch out driving normally? As soon as the clutch is engaged completely (or almost completely), does it go away immediately?

If so, you have a warped flywheel.
