finally got the hood from Hillbank Motorsports but i'm still waiting for the hood pins and hood grill. hopefully they'll be here soon. thought i'd share pics anyway—they're not lit very well but you get the idea.

thanks to those who recommended Stangwerks. Ed is the man and really knows his ****. his shop is awesome! if you live in or near SoCal, i definitely suggest dropping by his garage sometime!

thanks guys!! :nice:

power4, the hood was a little pricey. the hood itself is $750, then when you throw in the hood pins for $70 and the hood grill for $90 and tack on shipping, i think total was around $1100. paint/prep/install was about $600.

as of right now the only place you can get it from is Hillbank motorsports and my experience with them wasn't that great. i suppose it's not completely their fault as the parts are backordered from Shelby. nevertheless it's been extremely frustrating dealing with them and i still haven't received the hood pins or hood grill.

Nice. I recently saw an '06 GT w/ the GT500 hood installed (stock bumper cover). Minor adjustments were made to the
grille bars on the cover. I know it sounds odd, but it actually looks good. The front of the hood that meets the grille bars on the GT500 cover forms a kinda half surround on the GT fogs. Sorry no pics.

I love this hood. Hell, I've loved a LOT of hoods for these new cars. Just one problem. Except for maybe two, they are all fiberglass. :notnice:

When the hell are they gonna start making more of these bitch'n hoods in aluminum?

Through CDC you can get the Foose hood which is aluminum inside and has the washer nozzle holes already punched. One of them is even precut for the CDC Shaker system. It is styled after the '69 hood.
