I just saw a report on GM today where they turned a profit in their 4th Q compared with a loss the previous year. The interesting thing was the picture that accompanied the article. It showed 10 new unsold GTOs on a dealer's lot in Colorado. I could only imagine the deal one of those cars could be gotten for right now. Must be at least $5000 below MSRP. So for the money (maybe around $30k) you are getting a 400 HP, 6 spd car with a quality interior and great handling. Compare to a Shelby GT at $45k +. I could live with the bland styling of the GTO for that kind of a price difference.

. The way some of you are actin so surprised makes it sound like youre gettin these high prices from your pastor/minister from your local church. :SNSign:
and the company is crumbling beneath them. Just about every time they sell a car at MSRP they make money! So who knows, 5 years from now when there are STILL unsold '06 GT500s sitting around, will Ford still have made that extra money????? I mean, why sell @ $60,000 for $20K profit and discourage us "common" buyers, sell extremely slow and possibly not the entire run. OR sell @ MSRP and make $5K profit and almost all customers are happy and sell out the run within a reasonable time period.(Based the dealer cost/MSRP @ $40K/$45K respectively)
